Need Catholic Voices when the Pope is in Britain in September?
- Catholic Voices is a team of 20 “ordinary” Catholics created to make themselves available to producers before and during the papal visit.
- They do not speak officially on behalf of the Church, but the bishops have given the project their blessing.
- For six months since February they have met to think through the teaching and positions of the Catholic Church on contentious issues which the wider public often find baffling or offensive.
- They have received briefings from experts and training in how to carry off an effective short interview on radio and TV.
- Catholic Voices offers Catholics in everyday walks of life who are happy to explain and present the Church’s teaching and positions — and to commentate on the papal visit — in clear, human language.
- They are available at short notice; flexible; and ready to go to studios in London, Oxford and Bristol — or for down-the-line interviews anywhere.
